SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To Coordinate the planning and implementation of Social Services Programs and carry out administrative duties to ensure the provision of services to the community

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist Corps Officers with administrative procedures such as office work, reports, and other assigned duties to ensure corps performance according to The Salvation Army standards.
* Assist with corps' representation through networking with other social service agencies and religious organizations.
* Coordinate administrative and social services programs when Corps Officers are not available or on furlough.
* Assist with the food pantry by ordering food, arranging for pick-up from FeedMore WNY partnering agencies, and coordinating daily/weekly volunteers.
* Pick up food if necessary, stock food, and prepare grocery bags.
* Do statistics, monthly reports for the Food Bank, EFSP, and keep client notes and files up-to-date.
* Assist with Christmas toy applications, and coordinate toy pickups.
* Participate in all other duties and activities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:• High School Diploma with one year plus experience; Associates Degree preferred.• Strong organizational skills and able to multitask.• Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Comfortable with public speaking.• Office management skill, computer basic knowledge, able to meet deadlines.• Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The salvation Army.• Valid Driver's license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
