Nexia Melbourne is part of a global network of professional services firms and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to take the next step in their career as an HR Manager.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the whole business on all aspects of HR including strategy, learning and development, attraction and selection, performance management processes, reward and recognition, policies and procedures, and employer legislative compliance to ensure ultimate employee engagement and employer of choice status. This role will also have the opportunity to become part of a National HR Committee made up of experienced professionals from across the network.

This position would suit an established HR professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, moving into an HR Manager role. It will provide the opportunity to take a strategic HR approach and provide advice and coaching to Executives, however will also require someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and take a hands-on approach to get things done. The successful candidate will have the support of a part-time HR Administrator.

5+ years experience as an HR professional, ideally in a professional services environment;
Full, unrestricted Australian working rights;
High level of computer literacy with excellent digital fluency and software skills;
Ability to influence, coach and manage different personalities to provide best practice advice and business outcomes;
Experience managing an accurate HRIS and supporting payroll processes;
Experienced in running end-to-end recruitment for all levels;
Proactive, outcome-oriented and resilient;
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
Ability to deal with direct and difficult conversations tactfully and respectfully;
Strong understanding of HR legislative and best practice landscape.
