Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Business Support Assistant to manage the Work Health and Safety (WHS), Quality and Environmental develops and delivers proactive WHSQE initiatives and programs, responds to and resolves WHSE incidents, quality, investigates complaints. The role provides high level advice, guidance and expertise, training and practical assistance to Heritage Stoneworks (HSW) staff and clients.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement WHSE&Q Strategy and injury management programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Create programs and frameworks (ergonomics, lockout, inspections and scheduled audits), such as the HSW Integrated Management System, to foster and promote a positive and physically and psychologically safe workplace culture.
Provide informed advice to the Director Heritage Stoneworks, staff and clients on safety, and quality management matters for infrastructure and construction planning and delivery. Identify, assess, monitor and control of health, safety, and quality risks at pre-construction and construction stages of projects and in manufacturing operations.
Review implementation of Heritage Stoneworks Management Systems including WHSE&Q management system, third-party certification and construction contractors’ implementation of their WHSE&Q Management Plans, including on-site implementation.
Identify and implement WHSE and Best Practice initiatives, including safe design and contract administration, aimed at maintaining Heritage Stoneworks’ position as an industry leader in the management of WHSEQ.
Contribute to the ongoing reinforcing of a culture focused on achieving safe sustainable results and to the implementation of training and capability development programs for WHSEQ Management.
Analyse training needs and manage the delivery of WHSEQ programs through the engagement of key providers to enable the organisation to provide effective, fit for purpose and value for money programs, aimed at promoting positive culture and safety.
Prepare and analyse management reports and incident reports; coordinate and monitor the implementation of the recommended improvements in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Essential criteria:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in related field for WHS, Safety & Environmental and relevant working experience in the Construction Industry.
Contemporary knowledge of best practice WHSQE management approaches with a safety and wellbeing focus.
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and evaluating organisational development initiatives associated with WHSQE, employee engagement, and inclusion.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information effectively and provide impartial advice demonstrating sound strategic judgment, tact and discretion.
Excellent computer literacy skills, together with experience using MS- Office based software packages as well as the capacity to develop knowledge in online training delivery and management systems.
Hold an OHS Construction Induction White Card and Working with Children Check.
A valid NSW Driver's license and willingness to drive to remote locations which will include overnight stays.
