Your new companyYour new company is a global leader in the space of the manufacture and supply of Distribution Transformer products based in Cavan. It is a privately owned enterprise which has enjoyed substantial double-digit growth in recent years, the company has grown through major expansions to become a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke, quality solutions for the electrical industry. They produce and supply a large range of products and services from its 17,500sqm manufacturing facility, which has the capacity to manufacturing 6,500MVA annually. Led by a world-class leadership team, having recently fitted the plant with over €7M in new cutting technology, robotic welding and state of the art winding machines and are now looking for a night shift production team leader to join the team.Your new roleIn your new role as night shift team leader, you will ensure that your team operates to their maximum efficiency and in line with production requirements and safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include following production schedules and anticipate and solve any issues that may arise, ensuring all production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner, cross training of staff for operational effectiveness, managing and motivating your team of operators as well as monitoring and signing off on attendance, payroll, and leave. Your duties will also include effectively communicating with other departments, e.g., Design, Logistics, Quality, Shipping, Planning, Purchasing and Management to ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely manner and targets can be achieved and following procedures to ensure a safe working environment and that housekeeping is in order. The first three months you will work on a shift rotation, week 1- 6am to 2pm, week 2- 2pm- 10pm, shadowing existing team leaders in 3 different areas of the site, once training is complete you will move to permanent nights Monday to Friday (10pm – 6am).What you'll need to succeedMinimum 3 years in a busy manufacturing environment A manufacturing related qualification is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will be a forward thinker and natural communicator, solution focused and have a proven track record meeting targets. They will have previous experience managing a team with strong supervisory skills. As the company has a structure of operator reporting to team leader reporting to production supervisor, team leaders would be highly involved in the performance management process, KPI targets and responsibilities, managing efficiencies and dealing with senior management through daily meetings etc. What you'll get in returnA competitive salary of €42,500, with the view of moving to €44,500 once past probation as well as 26 days annual leave, a pension of 8%, health care and the chance to work with an international company who really value the development and progression of their employees.
