Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to support the Operations Manager by leading and managing the day to day operations of sample receipt ensuring samples are processed accurately, promptly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of compliance with Health and Safety, Quality System and Customer requirements. To deliver improved and consistent customer service through people and project management, service delivery and cost control.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESTo be the primary contact for the Operations Manager in this area in relation to customer queries, sample issues and project work.Responsible for taking in customer samples, sorting them and ensuring that the correct information is recorded onto the relevant LIMS system.Ensuring that all samples are registered, prepared and subcontracted on time and with accurate information.To ensure that queries are dealt with and any samples without complete information are managed with relevant stakeholders.Work to prioritise customer samples and ensure there is a good level of understanding of customer requirements.Ensure Compliance to the standard at all times by adhering to the in house quality procedures provided.Ensure the sample receipt is run at maximum efficiency giving clear direction on sample priority, testing requirements and procedure to other members of the team.To effectively manage all members of their team in areas such as productivity, work rotas and daily issues.Ensure the quality of the day-to-day work meets company standards and problem solve or suggest changes when needed.Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.To be accountable for customer satisfaction, notably through customer service and the ability to understand the customers’ requirements. This person must be constantly aware of the customer’s requirements and should strive to meet those requirements at all times.To work closely with the other teams including laboratory management in customer retention and development.Provide feedback on their team to the Operations Manager to aid in yearly PMD reviews.Responsible for making any necessary changes to the Lims system.Ensuring all documentation is completed on time, accurately and legibly, including incident reports, training sheets.Responsible for supporting the sales and management team in administration and planning.Responsible for communicating regularly with the Operations Manager on the status of work and for escalating any issues in a timely manner.Undertaking general administration duties including photocopying, typing etc. as required.Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying Operations Manager of any discrepancies.Keeping the sample receipt and prep working area clean and tidy.Identify continual improvement in the customer’s overall experience with Eurofins by liaising with internal departments within Eurofins to ensure we meet our clients demands in a cost effective manner.Responsible for facilitating training of other staff when required.Be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.Responsible for ensuring equipment and facilities is in good working condition and communicate, in a timely manner, to the relevant departments when an issue arises.Qualifications​​​​​Previous experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory or related industry laboratory environment are preferred but full training will be providedThorough understanding of relevant quality system and accreditation requirementsGood keyboards skills and experience of LIMS Systems, MS Office packages in particular Excel.Good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills.Additional InformationHard working self-motivated and professional team playerAbility to work well under pressureExcellent attention to detailAbility to multi-task, prioritize, organise and co-ordinate your own workloadGood written and verbal communication skillsThe benefits of working with Eurofins Environment Testing IrelandFlexible work options22 Days Annual Leave plus Service Days (additional days off)Life AssurancePension SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammePaid Health Insurance Scheme with LAYA HealthcareCycle to Work SchemeDiscounted gym membershipsOn Site Social CommitteeFlexible Working
