Position Description As part of Estates Management in Group Property, the successful candidate will join an experienced property management team that provides a wide range of property services to ESB Group. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects including general property management, disposal and acquisition of properties, all aspects of leases and licenses on both landlord and tenant sides, rent reviews, property valuations, rent and service charge accounting, corporate governance, reporting, and property advice to Business Units. The role will involve interaction with Group Legal, Group Tax, and Corporate & Finance as well as external stakeholders. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop/enhance the following skills; negotiating, communications, time management, organisation, landlord & tenant, reporting, etc... Key Responsibilities Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key. You will seek how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues Responsibilities to include inputs into the management of ESB’s property portfolio including: Property Management Negotiating with third party landlords, property owners, etc. Working with other internal and external professional disciplines to deliver successful projects Providing general property advice to internal customers, including valuations Provision of reports and internal governance documentation Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a property role, or a property related role. Proven ability to work with other professional disciplines in a multi-disciplinary department. Holder of a full clean driving licence. Experience in commercial negotiations Experience in property acquisitions and disposals including freeholds, leases, licences, and easements. Familiarity with relevant property law and Landlord & Tenant particularly Experience in relevant lease management (renewals, rent reviews, dilapidations at lease end, payments) Proficient in use of MS Office Qualifications A recognised property qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional institute (SCSI/RICS) is preferred, or a property related qualification and relevant experience may be considered.
