This position will be located on site in Palmdale, California.Essential Functions:This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customersAct as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activitiesGather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibilityPlan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilitiesCoordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawingsPrepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction servicesReview and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costsInspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedulesManage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast paced environmentForecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and ScheduleProduce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractorsCoordinate and update the Air Force as required for projects, budgets, and schedulePrepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction servicesAble to communicate effectively and clearly too present technical approaches and findingsWork with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assembliesDemonstrated capability to perform assignments on time and within budgetThis requisition may be filled as either a Level 2 or Level 3 Project Management.Basic Qualifications for a Level 2 Project Management:A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 7 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience with OR Master’s Degree and 1 year of experienceProfessional writing skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of leadership to include presentation skillsProficient in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordKnowledge of other construction related disciplinesMust be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret ClearanceBasic Qualifications for a Level 3 Principal Project Management:A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 10 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience with OR Master’s Degree and 4 years of experienceProfessional writing skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of leadership to include presentation skillsProficient in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordKnowledge of other construction related disciplinesMust be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Active DoD Secret ClearanceBachelor’s DegreeUnderstanding of the change management processPMP CertificationSAP Program AccessExperience with; the design and construction of cleanrooms, design and construction of classified facilities, fire and security alarms and systems and remote monitoring, energy management systems, electrical systems and high-voltage electricity/substations and reliability engineeringKnowledge of building codes, ADA, local, UFC Criteria, FED OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibilityPrior work experience in facility layout, engineering, electrical, mechanical, HVAC design, plumbing, hydraulics, dynamics, and/or control systems and project managementWe offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
