Overview


Are you driven? a people person? a self-starter? If so, you could be the business development representative we’re looking for.


As a BDR, you’ll represent Shot One Studio to leads, prospects, and existing customers. You’ll use your extroversion, communication skills, and knowledge of our products to establish rapport, cultivate relationships, and develop credibility with both external and internal customers.


A typical day includes making numerous outbound calls as well as handling a heavy load of inbound calls. You’ll be responsible for scheduling appointments, processing requests for quotations, creating proposals, and communicating pertinent information to all necessary parties.


In short, we’re counting on you to help grow our business.



Roles and responsibilities


  • Create and manage marketing campaigns targeting new leads
  • Identify decision-makers among targeted leads to initiate and close sales
  • Proactively contact decision-makers to introduce and promote our offerings
  • Grow sales profitably, targeting new business/prospecting activity as well as cold calling/prospecting
  • Maintain and expand the prospect database in the CRM tool
  • Develop working relationships with prospects through regular contact
  • Describe product features and benefits
  • Provide customers with product samples
  • Participate fully in product training sessions, meetings, skills training, and professional development classes
  • Solve actual and potential problems and address account complaints
  • Complete normal business reports as needed
  • Report daily to Shot One Studio’s operations manager
  • Other duties as assigned



Knowledge, skills, and abilities


  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, marketing, or equivalent (preferred)
  • One to three years of relevant work or internship experience in customer service, retail, or sales (preferred)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Comfortable with and effective at making sales cold calls
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience using CRM tools (preferred)
  • Ability to travel to customer reviews and trade shows on a limited basis as needed
