About this role:
The Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS) organization is looking for an AI/ML Lead Product Manager to join our team and help us with identifying and creating innovative AI and Analytics products for Wells Fargo. The incumbent is expected to have the required technical depth in software based products or have familiarity with AI/ML concepts to be able to contribute to the product vision working with customers, design, technology, engineering and data science teams. S(he) needs to work closely with customers (data scientists and LOB teams), design to understand customer problems and behaviors and partner across EADS Teams and technology, to create solutions that delight in solving those problems, deliver measurable value and are feasible to buy/build and sustain
In this role, you will:
Serve as a product owner for one or more products such as labeling tool, AutoML, etc. creating and managing product backlog, capabilities, and features
Lead development of product specifications with internal stakeholders (data scientists, leads, design) through User Journey Mapping, customer interviews, industry research, etc. and refine as needed
Drive product roadmap and implementation working with external tools as well as building capabilities when needed
Manage vendor relationships and heavily influence product roadmaps for critical partnerships
Own quality and timelines of deliverables, proactively manage any risks
Work independently in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
Create, maintain and deliver regular progress reports and dashboards
Product Testing: Lead the user acceptance testing of product features
Product Implementation: Work with Product Design, Product Services and technology teams in planning, execution and delivery of product releases, feature enhancements. Work closely on UI/UX design (not sure if needed still)
Product Management KPI Tracking: Analyze product management related performance and understand product usage and adoption KPIs and come up with a plan to improve on them
Contribute to cloud migration strategy for AI/ML platforms and products (from on-prem to private cloud to public cloud)
Work closely with business partners, data stewards, ML engineering and other IT teams to analyze and resolve issues and enhance AI/ML products.
Conduct market research and market results-oriented analysis for major products and services
Review and analyze complex major product lines and services
Implement change delivery solutions for the portfolio's technology process work of low to moderate complexity
Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations of global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impact
Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications,
8+ plus years of total experience in product management
5+ years of working experience at least 1 of these areas - AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Generation, Big Data, Chatbots, Recommendation engines, ML Ops, Data Science modeling platforms.
B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech in quantitative disciplines like operations research, statistics, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, engineering, AI/ML
Preferred : MBA from renowned business schools or Masters degree in business disciplines on top of Bachelors in quantitative fields
Hands on experience in full lifecycle of the product from ideation, business case development, product design, product build, testing, delivery, training, support and adoption. Experience with product portfolio in Saas, MLaaS space is a bonus
Top candidate would have worked on one of these Data Science Platforms: Domino Data Labs, Databricks, H2O.ai, Datakitchen, Dataiku, C3.AI, Algorithmia, IBM CP4D, Modelshop, ModelOp, Sigopt, Datarobot ParallelIM, Kubeflow, Valohai, Spell.
Technical software development experience in the field of data driven products is a plus
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to create client ready documentation is a plus
Market Skills and Certifications
Good to have certifications in Data Science, AI/ML or Big data
Certification on Cloud services (preferably GCP) - Google Professional Cloud architect, Google AI/ML Certification
Agile practices like Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with AI/ML modeling frameworks like Scikit-learn, SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment and if needed, flex as per business requirement
Detail oriented and possess relationship skills, resiliency and ability to deal with constant change, excellent verbal and written communication skills, technical knowledge of AI/ML concepts and application.
Capable of performing ad-hoc analyses and drill down into data inconsistencies and perform root cause analysis to solve for issues
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members
Ability to ensure timely deliveries while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Ability to understand the business aspects and multitask between projects.
Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity and trustworthiness
Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance-oriented possesses a strong work ethic and good team player
