BNYM is seeking to hire a dynamic, self-motivated lead manager to support our non-US, International franchise.
Lead Manager manages the team that provides business, financial, pricing and/or systems analysis and reporting support to Finance and Business leaders. S/he and the team will organize and analyze Finance data and utilize the information to produce value added reporting. Provides business, financial, and/or systems analysis and reporting support. The lead and the team is accountable to deliver basic analytics and reporting support for their assigned corporate, line of business, sector, shared service, region, country, or legal entity team. S/he plays an integral role providing support for the development of period end commentary, variance analyses, and reporting supporting KPI metrics tracking and scorecard reporting, providing capital planning, project planning, and budget management support, in addition to a wide range of planned periodic and unplanned delivery to ad hoc requests as assigned.
S/he might need to perform and deliver adhoc request from businesses as needed. S/he will ensure the team to develop and deliver approved process documentation and training content to the knowledge management for publication.
This role will be supporting one or multiple LOBs. The Lead Manager will collaborate with senior members of the team and the business line CFO to work on regular, ad-hoc requests and present financial information. S/he may be called upon to contribute to or perform analysis of complex financial transactions, budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, general ledger accounts, operating performance, profitability, and industry/competitor outcomes and trends.
Key Responsibilities

  • To provide CFO support for business lines within Regions
  • To provide end-end support during Monthly end, Quarter close, forecasting/ planning cycles
  • To facilitate region specific regulatory, compliance submissions
  • To lead/ work with the group of members supporting regional reporting and drive high quality performance
  • Assist with the execution analysis on the various strategic and financial objectives
  • Assist in driving opportunities to grow the business and client revenues, including support of new products and platforms
  • Facilitate decision making and business progression
  • Proactively focus on problem identification and problem solving
  • Drive competitive benchmarking and market analysis
  • Assist in planning revenues, headcount, expenses and investment initiatives
  • Collaborate and partner to develop financial reporting and key MIS for decisions
  • Develop partnerships between business and functional teams (e.g. technology, operations, HR, marketing, etc.) to achieve objectives
  • Partner with others in Finance & Business Management (CFOs, Business Managers, FP&A leads) across regions and businesses to share best practice and drive consistency across the bank
  • Support International Finance on key initiatives
  • Will lead the effort to ensure all Operations Service Level Documents (SLD's) are in place where needed.
  • 10 or more years of experience in accounting or finance including experience in budgeting, planning, forecasting, cost allocations, activity-based costing, financial analysis and modeling and business intelligence.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools like MAQ, ESSBASE, HFM, Cognos, Power BI etc.,
