Mechanical engineer with 5+ yrs. experience. MEP design of Greenfield/Brownfield projects, MEP design of Battery energy storage systems, Experienced in Containerized system design, HVAC & Firefighting system design for Containers/Buildings/Enclosures.
Should have profound knowledge in fundamental aspects and main characteristics of Container structural design, HVAC, Fire Fighting & Suppression designs. Should have basic knowledge on the battery technologies and the parameters impacting the container, HVAC, FFS design. Should have profound knowledge in Piping design, Sprinkler systems, Structural analysis, Pump sizing, Enclosure design. Should have hands-on experience working on software like ANSYS, AUTOCAD, INVENTOR, HAP, etc.,
Skills & Responsibilities:
. Should have deep understanding on Complete Mechanical designs right from proto- typing to fabrication clearance
. Should have deep understanding of the international & local codes like NFPA, UL, IFC, for systems design and knowledge on permitting of all sorts, including interconnection.
. Should have deep understanding on value engineering aspects of container designs.
. Responsible for design of systems such as HVAC, air handling, explosion protection rated ventilation, mechanical smoke removal systems, chilled/heating hot water systems, sanitary drain systems, potable water systems, building mechanical systems, etc. for various projects / tenders.
. Should have deep understanding on design of automatic sprinkler systems per NFPA pamphlets, Local regulations, and engineering standards.
. Perform complex mechanical and design on a variety of projects at the direction of project manager
. Prepare construction documents. Performing construction assistance in the form of responding to contractor RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and performing construction site field observations report and preparing punch lists during various stages of construction.
Coordinating with other disciplines as well as other internal and external team members
. Responsible for development of design documents including engineering reports, calculations, and analysis, drawings, specifications, and engineer's opinion of probable construction costs.
. In addition, the successful candidate must possess the skills required to successfully handle multiple simultaneous complex tasks, execute project tasks, have a strong work ethic and drive to deliver for customers, and be a collaborative team player
. Knowledge of Computer assisted BIM software, computer-aided design (CAD) software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
. Assist in preparing code compliant fire sprinkler design shop drawings using AutoCAD and hydracid fire protection software.
Performed 3D piping modeling of fire protection system piping with 3D PDS Smart Plant design software.
. Experience with hydraulic calculation programs HASS and HydraCalc.
. Develop tests, standardized test procedures, and perform product testing, including involvement in hands on lab testing during evaluations of prototype systems.
. Analyse operational and test data to troubleshoot and resolve system problems. . Knowledge on manufacturing & quality process of various battery technologies is a plus.
Knowledge & Working Experience in the following software: AUTOCAD / SOLID WORKS / INVENTOR / NASTRAN / Structural Analysis/HAP/ HydraCAD / SprinkCAD / 3D PDS SmartPlant Design software.
