You’re a copywriter and a creative thinker with a well-rounded portfolio that demonstrates work across creative disciplines and briefs. English is the primary language of communication for a majority of the brands we work on, and you will be expected to have a complete command over every aspect of it (read: grammar, punction, phrasing etc).


While writing is your primary craft, you enjoy seeing creative ideas take myriad forms and shapes. An ideal candidate for this role will be one who seeks the freedom that comes with attempting briefs that cut across films, print, digital/social, and strategic/graphic design opportunities.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Concept and build a clear and concise creative worldview for the brand. Including coming up with the big idea that serves as a take off point for the creative process, building a recognisable tone of voice and pushing this POV across creative opportunities
  • You will need to present concepts and creatives to clients for some of the bigger projects and briefs. This also involves writing meaningful rationales for presentation decks to the client
  • Pro-actively pitch original ideas that can help creatively leverage the digital-first nature of the audience landscape today
  • Aid the development and execution of creative ideas from inception through to completion. This role needs you to take interest and ownership of the end product
  • Partner and work with other creative stakeholders such as Planners/Account Managers, Content Strategists, Art Directors, Production resources and others, to develop final form of the creatives
  • As an agency we want to raise our creative bar substantially. So you will be expected to champion higher order conceptual ideas for the brands we work on. Think Acts not Ads; Think Entertainment not vanilla communications


Essentials:


  • You have about 2-3 years of experience writing copy for creative concepts and ideas, preferably within a pedigreed advertising, design, digital/social or mixed media creative services/agency environment
  • This is a position for a Copywriter and not a Content Writer. At POV, both of these are specialised roles and we are looking for the former. Your portfolio will need to demonstrate awesome copywriting work (and hopefully stop our search instantly!)
  • Versatility is key to this role. So experience that cuts across B2C and B2B brands would be desirable
