Explore Vymo https://getvymo.com/ What you will do at Vymo As an Engineering Manager, you will own the application and product development and provide scalable and high-quality technology solutions at a rapid pace. This is a technical hands-on management position which is a player-coach role and encompasses people management, technical/ functional expertise, and relationship/ stakeholder management. We are looking at an engineering leader who believes in Impact creation at scale and is effective at influencing a culture of engineering craftsmanship and excellence.


A Day in your Life


● You will be responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage multi-release multi-complexity projects.

● You will partner with the Product Team to understand the business roadmap, Interpret BRDs & functional specification documents and deliver innovative product features through continuous iteration

● You will provide technical expertise and leadership throughout product life cycles, influence software engineers best practices for your team, and own operational metrics

● You are well versed in Software Architecture and Design - participate in design reviews and oversee Architecture & design of technically robust, flexible, and scalable solutions.

● You will provide technical/coding direction and guidance on complex logic, and partner with tech leads and architects in problem-solving.

● You perform well in uncertainties and collaborate and work with unclear interfaces to other teams in our rapidly evolving organizations.

● You bring a strong perspective that drives change and motivates engineers to develop simple solutions to complex problems.

● You mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management

● You give engineers the tools, confidence, and motivation to make decisions independently that lead to their recognition.

● You ensure the team fully understands the goals and objectives of Vymo as a company and how their work fits into 'the bigger picture What you would have done

● Have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline

● Have a minimum of 8 years' experience with 5 years of experience in large scale applications and 2 years' experience in people management.

● Have excellent coding skills in one of the languages PHP/Python/C /Java and coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

● Have deep, hands-on technical expertise in high scale, service-oriented architectures

● You exhibit clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions

● Proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about business and relevant technologies, and use this knowledge to deliver high quality, accurate software deliverables

● Technology-oriented, experience managing products with technical complexity and interdependencies.

● Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, in a dynamic and complex environment
