Description
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and ensure optimum performance of the Automated Packaging Line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform start up and shutdown of APL
Perform a line clearance on the APL
Properly load end caps
Splice and web plastic sleeves on Hugo Beck 1 & 2
Set programs for Trey-Former and Palletizer
Change box machine over to various sizes
Replace label/ribbon within the SES printer
Work within Business Express Software (BE) to read orders for the APL platform system
Inspect and identify machine deficiencies
Troubleshoot basic functional issues; track and clear roll data
Perform monthly preventative maintenance
Perform quality checks on converted rolls; identify damaged material caused by APL
Operates a PIT to load and unload products from production machines
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows prescribed safety regulations.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Ability to adapt to improved Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to the Orafols Quality Program.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Process Manager/Supervisor or other members of the Management Team.

Qualifications
Education Requirement:
High School diploma required
Strong written and oral English communication skills required
Work Experience:
PC skills;
Required forklift certification and ability to operate machinery;
Previous experience operating machinery, preferred.
Aptitudes & Characteristics:
Must have a positive can do attitude
Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement
Ability to work with little to no supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 70 lbs. regularly;
Required ability to stand for extended periods of time;
Must be able to walk, stretch, reach, crawl and grasp objects;
Required to bend, stoop, climb, crawl or kneel occasionally;
Ability to follow directions, work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
