The Sr. Client Service Specialist will be responsible for playing a key role working closely with the Account Executive to build and maintain professional rapport with vendors and teammates by providing superior internal and external service support. This position can offer the opportunity of a flexible (hybrid) working arrangement consisting of a combination of in-office and remote workdays per week. We would also consider candidates living in the San Antonio area that could work from our San Antonio based office utilizing the hybrid schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Process new and renewal business within timelines and quality standards, including updating and maintaining information in the client management system.

2. Escalate issues of increased complexity, according to department standards, to the applicable internal contact.

3. Provide clients with timely information including plan information, rates, contributions, and carrier contacts.

4. Set up policy notebooks for delivery to client; assemble proposals and other presentations for client and prospect meetings.

5. Address and resolve client questions and issues when needed.

6. Assist in preparation of new and renewal proposals; stewardship reports; service plans; policy and contract review, comparisons, and demonstrates creativity in presentation style. Gather information and assist with the preparation of bid specifications with input from Producers and Account Managers to obtain accurate and timely quotations from the marketplace. Research compliance items.

7. Support service and production team in reaching overall agency revenue and retention goals.

8. Assist with aspects of marketing, as needed.

9. Document member and client communications in the client management services tool according to department standards.

10. Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, projections, PCORI calculations, direct bill, accounting discrepancies and other communications based on the needs of the internal team and clients. Work with Account Manager to assure accuracy of proposals and funding arrangements.

11. Participate in company sponsored seminars, training workshops and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education.

12. Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Hold an active Life & Health insurance state license or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

2. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

3. High school diploma or equivalent

4. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite

5. Demonstrate strong organizational and project skills

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

7. Act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters

8. Prioritize work to achieve timely completion of the most critical and sensitive activities

9. Respond quickly to client requests and work to provide appropriate information

10. Accept accountability for the quality of work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Three to five years or more of Employee Benefits industry experience.

2. College or advanced degree.
