The Position 

As the HR Advisor you will work in a generalist role with oversight of onboarding & training delivery, workplace health & safety administration, employment relations and championing engagement and culture in the business’ busy distribution centre based in Truganina, Melbourne. Your key internal stakeholders will be the Distribution Centre Manager, Leadership Team & team members, Learning & Development Team, WHS Team and HR Business Partnering & Operations teams; you will have exposures to many talented individuals with a plethora of experience between them, creating a fantastic career opportunity to become a well-rounded HR generalist.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular communication and consultation including, but not limited to, compliance, toolbox talks, safety alerts and monitoring training;
  • Support the Claims and Injury Manager with administration tasks relating to injury and claims management, including, but not limited to, uploading Certificates of Capacity, Return to Work plans, file notes etc;
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Team with volume recruitment campaigns, such as group interview days and subsequent delivery of induction to new starters;
  • Coordinate the training calendar to ensure all sessions are delivered on time and team members are compliant;
  • Support the Capability Team with the development and delivery of workshops and forums;
  • Report on, and evaluate, training initiatives designed and developed through completion reports, learner feedback surveys and related KPIs;
  • Remains abreast of the ER/IR landscape and proactively shares changes due to case law, legislation and Award amendments with the HR Shared Services Lead including but not limited to superannuation changes, casual conversation, Public Health Orders.
  • Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and credible relationships quickly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels;
  • A positive, professional outlook, passionate about people, development at all levels within the organisation;
  • Active listener with an aptitude for training and coaching;
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resource management, workplace health and safety, or related business discipline will come highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated prior experience in a human resources advisory role, or similar, within a fast-paced environment like retail, manufacturing or distribution centre;
  • Experience in facilitation and training delivery will come highly regarded.
