    ​​​​​​​​​​​The Position​​​​​​​

  • Use your experience to take on new challenges within our core electrical team
  • Be confident and proficient in undertaking electrical services design tasks autonomously, under our team of experienced engineers
  • Gain further experience in all aspects of a project lifecycle from inception (fee proposal) right through to project completion (built form handover) along with the various interactions with internal team members and external parties such as Project Managers, Architects, Buildings, Contractors, and Suppliers
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will actively coordinate internally with our multidisciplinary team and externally with other consultants to deliver the best outcome for the client
  • Develop your technical expertise and knowledge across all facets of electrical engineering in the Building Services environment
  • Work towards attaining RPEQ & CPEng status. You will be given opportunities to continue your professional development through internal and external formal and informal training
  • Be capable, and enjoy, working on multiple projects at a time.
  • ​​​​​​​​​​Attributes

    Ideally you will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working as an electrical engineer in the Building Services industry
  • An understanding of applicable standards (eg NCC, AS/NZS 3000) and their implementation in building services design
  • Exposure to Autodesk Revit or a willingness to learn
  • Experience using electrical engineering software including PowerCAD and Dialux/AGI
  • Emerging client facing skills (or a desire and capability to develop these)
  • University degree in the field of Electrical Engineering
  • An interest in working efficiently and employing innovative ideas to improve existing engineering processes
  • An interest in growing your business development skills and external network by attending external events and representing NDY.

    NDY has a strong focus on the development of our staff and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. We will develop a career plan for each staff member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects from Healthcare facilities through to commercial office developments and retail developments, both as new build and refurbishments.
