Join a leading agribusiness Wudinna, SA location We currently have a great leadership opportunity for a Merchandise Manager to oversee our Wudinna location. Wudinna is a lively rural town which offers plenty of unique attractions in some of the most beautiful and diverse areas, with only a short 50minutes drive to the coast with some of the most beautiful beaches in SA.
About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Branch and Regional General Manager, the focus of your role will be to maintain and develop strong customer relationships with local rural producers to drive sales for a broad range of agricultural products and merchandise services.
You will provide leadership to our branch employees including merchandise sales, customer service and agronomy, whilst driving branch performance and the achievement of financial targets. You will mentor the sales team to provide professional, efficient, and quality service to our clients both in store and on farm to drive sales for a wide range of rural farm supplies, crop protection, fertiliser and animal health products. You will oversee the supply chain activities for the branch to ensure products are being delivered in full and on time in line with inventory KPI’s; along with managing safety, quality, and the overall presentation of the store to the highest standards all form part of this rewarding role. Assist with management of safety, quality and the overall presentation of the store and merchandising to the highest standards Help to increase market share through the provision of quality advice and service to our rural clients both in store and on farm and by maintaining and promoting a range of products which meet the current and anticipated needs of our customers About You:
To be successful you will have a passion for Australian agriculture as well as;
Forklift and light truck licenses
You must demonstrate leadership success along with operational management experience and ideally with exposure to Livestock and/or Agronomy industry as well as retail activities You will have business development experience. You will develop growth strategies and plans, by identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs. Change management skills and ability to think laterally will be highly valued You will be self-motivated and driven to implement improvements in all areas of store operations including supply chain/inventory and stock control. You will demonstrate success developing solid long-term partnerships with clients and other key stakeholders and be able to identify opportunities to develop new business. Strong financial skills for reporting and P&L management are essential along with people management experience.
