Description

The Housekeeping Associate reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager. This associate needs to have a high energy level and excellent standards when it comes to cleanliness. The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for cleaning all bathrooms and breakrooms in the facility. The standards for cleanliness are high and associate is expected to adhere to all cleaning requirements daily. Requirements include but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning toilets & urinals, sinks, wiping down walls and surfaces with disinfectant. The Housekeeping Associate demonstrates behavior that supports AWBC core values.

Roles and Responsibilities

Maintaining cleanliness in breakrooms and restrooms as follows:

  • Sweeping and moping the break rooms/bathrooms.
  • Cleaning restrooms following specific orders.
  • Removing trash
  • Replacing paper products as needed
  • All restrooms must be cleaned at a minimum of once per shift.
  • All breakrooms must be cleaned at a minimum of twice per shift.
  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be Able to:

  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Stand for long period of time, up to 4 continuous hours, 8 - 12 hours during a shift.
  • Walk up to 8 miles a day. Walking short distances through the department/building.
  • Use hands/arms to operate required equipment and repetitive motion activities.
  • Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Bend, stoop, or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
