About the Role
This is an ongoing, part-time role which can be based within regional Victoria, or Melbourne and will be responsible for the coordination of emergency broadcasting before, during and after emergency events. You can expect to work a variable roster including some weekends and public holidays but over an eight day fortnight, to help with work/life balance.
In this vital role, you will:
Coordinate emergency broadcasting coverage
Present on-air and post on social media emergency warnings and related content
Assist in the creation of sitreps and coverage plans for emergency events
Help provide training to content makers in emergency procedures
Liaise with emergency agencies and with ABC local radio stations
You will be able to demonstrate:
You are an accomplished content-maker, with proven experience in emergency broadcasting
Experience in planning, gathering and producing content and posting on multiple platforms
Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
