Job Description
Red Ember Recruitment is currently recruiting Payroll Administrators to be based at the client. 

Please note this is Fixed Term Contract Positions. 

The Client is a Payroll Outsourcing Company. 

The Successful Candidate will have working experience on Sage 300 People and Premier running multiple payrolls for external clients. Added/ Optional/Extra Position Specifications:


The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate processing of the full payroll function, thereby ensuring that the employees are correctly remunerated on time and that the database and files are maintained and updated correctly.


Critical outcomes:

To ensure that all payroll functions are perform accurately and on time.

To communicate effectively and timely with other internal departments and outside stakeholders to resolve payroll queries.

To liaise with the Payroll Manager on any quality concerns, suggestions or ideas required


Position Specifications:


Basic functions and procedures on Sage Premier and Sage 300 People Payroll software required for the successful completion of a payroll processing period:

Accurate capturing of the following payroll input:
Loading new employees

Increases

Earnings

Deductions

Company contributions

Perks

Terminations
Capturing of payroll input using batch functionality

Knowledge of content of Sage Payroll standard reports

Reconciliation of payroll

ACB Export

General Ledger Export

UIF submission

Backup

Start of period procedure

Administrative duties e.g. filing

General payroll queries


Knowledge required ensuring that the application of the payroll complies with statutory legislation as well as more in-depth functionalities on Sage Payroll software:

Definition and application of RFI, SDL and OID

Completion and submission of the EMP201

Employee benefits administration

Taxability of earnings

Tax-deductibility of deductions

Basic BCEA knowledge

Medical aid fringe benefit

Access control

Creating an earning definition

Creating a batch layout

Stop further entry

Requirements
Grade 12

Sage Payroll training

4 years’ experience working in a Payroll environment
