Our client, a HR Consulting and Technology company is looking for Technical Delivery / Software Development Manager to join their team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree/diploma/Certificate in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldCompetencies required:2-3 years team management experience8 years' experience within a software development role, coding in PHPGood knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services including 4 – 6 years' experience in using MS SQL or MYSQLCreating table structuresRunning complex SQL queriesManaging SQL databases (backups etc.)3 – 4 years' experience within DevOps environment, having had exposure to deployments, builds, managing servers etc. And working with cloud-based platformsUnderstanding of open-source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etcDemonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etcExperience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay etc)Roles and ResponsibilitiesProcess ManagementImplement processes, which build customer service delivery excellence and encourage others to provide exceptional service.Create and maintain working relationships with a variety of stakeholders for purposes of expectation management, knowledge sharing and integration.Design relevant IT Solution and produce specification and architecture in accordance to agreed standards against the requirements and approved by the appropriate governance forums.Planning and resource management across the focus areas.Implements functional IT strategy in support of businessActive participant in architectural boards, steerco’s and decision-making bodies.Ensure that frameworks, good governance, risk is always maintained.Set up & facilitate the JAD sessions with product owners & relevant stakeholders.Ensure the timeously delivery of sprints within the agreed success factors.Ensure the timeously communication to stakeholders if delivery needs to be modified.Ensure alignment to all activities to the agreed roadmap.Successful deployment of sprints. MonitoringTranslate business IT requirements into implementable solutions & continuously monitor to ensure operational continuity and effectiveness.Ensure adequate unit, system integration and post implementation unit tests are performed for all configuration and development tasks. Ensure testing yields an acceptable level of performance for the changes being delivered. Risk ManagementAssess, identify, and mitigate potential risks within the IT function by complying with technology business policy and process requirements (SDLC and change / release management process definition) to ensure operational performance.Analyse and/or identify problems/requirements to determine impact, patterns and trends, best fit alternatives, and best practice solutions.
