Digital and Design Coordinator Johannesburg North Rneg + Ben

Matric / Grade 12
Graphic Design qualification
Qualification and experience in field’s related to digital media including but not limited to internships or freelance work. Portfolio of graphic design and video work will be an advantage .
Solid 2D and 3D animation skillset is preferred
Creative background and experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems, and other digital media platforms preferred
Ability to communicate visually with a strong understanding of typography, color and visual storytelling

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate a solid body of work
Take the design “brief” to record requirements and needs
Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints (if applicable e.g., Stock Photos / software requirements)
Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
Amend final designs to GM’s & PD’s comments and for final approval

Planning of Digital Campaign Management & Implementation:

Assisting GM Marketing in implementing the digital promotional campaign, including the show websites, direct mails, emails, advertising campaign, social media and support, where necessary, at face-to-face networking events
Co-ordinating online visitor and exhibitor registration process with third party supplier
Artwork production including design and print production

Sales Support – Campaigns:

Working together with GM Marketing and Sales on building targeted campaigns for specific Markets they wish to reach / grow in
Putting together a roll out plan regarding artwork required for the campaign
Assisting with checking Copy Writing and Press releases as well as generating ad-hoc copy
Attending relevant networking events to drive database collection and sharing of information

Communications – Copy / Content:

Using creative ability to develop show initiatives and special events to enhance event content
Communication across all disciplines (marketing, operations, PR) to ensure market intelligence is shared in order to maximise on potential opportunities
Managing / sourcing content for communications

Communications – Emailers:

Loading of monthly communications / e-Shots onto relevant emailing software
Loading of mailers pre-show / during show and post-show
Pulling of monthly reports: Feeding back information regarding bounce-backs to Database TeamNumber of delivered, click-throughs, undelivered

Collateral – Branding / Gifting:

Overseeing reprints of banners with the suppliers
Support on gifting branding and delivery and receipt of orders
Ensuring all collateral and branding is to standard

Website Management (planning, strategic and execution):

Update of show dates and any other relevant information on the websites on an ongoing basis – NB! Consistent checking of site for such updates
Website audits – every quarter to ensure all information is up to date
Actioning and pushing Digital Revenue on all platforms

Show Specific Campaigns:

Build targeted campaigns for specific Markets they wish to reach / grow in
Putting together a roll out plan regarding artwork required for the campaign and designing thereof
Creating any digital artwork / mailers around the campaign

Event Partners / Sponsors:

Putting together supporting design of / for Marketing proposals / agreements for partnerships together with the GM of Marketing
Loading partner profiles onto website
Email comms announcing partnerships – HTML / design

Information analysis:

Analysing and tracking online & any other digital campaigns
Monitoring competitor activities (particularly their websites)

Supplier Relations:

Liaising with external suppliers (design team, mailing houses, printers, the PR team)
Maintaining and developing supplier relationships
Maintaining and developing contra relationships with all partners
Attend weekly status /project meetings
Ensure that all third-party players are constantly kept up to date
Present at workshops when necessary


Attend industry related networking events when necessary to build relationships
