Position: IT ManagerSalary: Market relatedLocation: JohannesburgJob type: PermanentIndustry: Shared Office SectorReference Number: RDT.ITM.CW.Company Description:Our client, a leader within the Shared Office Space sector, has a vacancy for an IT Manager to join their team.Job Description:The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring that both the hardware and software is adequately maintained and installed and that the IT services offered to the company clients (i.e., internet) is fast and stable. The IT Manager is also responsible for driving IT strategy in the company and ensuring maximum benefit and use of current technology. The IT Manager will be responsible for all three branches in the Johannesburg area, and will be expected to travel from branch to branch as needed.Main Duties & Responsibilities:· Office · Assisting and training users on SharePoint· Assisting staff with tasks and information they don’t have access to· Have a good understanding of SharePoint and O applications· User account administration and setup· License and product management· Mailing list and group management· Service access control· Application for new licenses and service additions· Implementation of new service needed by the business· Maintenance and support of application part of the suite· Printers (Papercut)· Add and remove users from Papercut· Install virtual print queues on devices· Assist and training clients on machine functions· Monitor toner levels· Generate monthly usage reports for rent roll· Maintenance and installation of Papercut related applications· Troubleshooting of printer related issues· Maintain the integrity of the system and ensure it conforms to company policy· Internet· Troubleshooting internet problems internally and externally· Liaising with service providers when there is a disruption in connectivity· Consult with clients on particular internet solutions· Provide standard and bespoke internet solutions to clients· Maintenance and oversight of firewalls (Mikrotik)· Maintenance and oversight of network switches (Netgear, TP-Link, HP, UniFi)· Good understanding of Radius and user account provisioning· Good understanding of dynamic routing (OSPF)· Good understanding of networking concepts (EoIP, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, VLANs, NAT)· Good understanding of bandwidth management (Queues)· Good understanding of firewalling (Filters and Mangle)· Telephony VOIP & PABX· MAN (call logging software)· Generating reports of call for rent roll· Generating custom call reports for clients on request· Adding and removing users phone codes· Ensuring the system is working correctly· Panasonic PABX unified Maintenance Console (Telephone Management Software)· Assigning clients telephone and extension numbers· Adding clients company names to assigned numbers· Removing ex clients from the directory· Adding and removing users phone codes· Adding special call forwarding functions on clients requests· Maintain the integrity of the directory system and ensure it conforms to company policy set out· Installation of telephones (analogue and digital)· Patching of telephone line· Installing new cabling· Repairing cabling· Troubleshooting telephone and cabling problems· VoIP management via the cloud provided services· CCTV· Checking of video footage for incidents· Installing new cameras and cabling· Replacing broken cameras and cabling· Ensuring the camera system is working correctly· Troubleshooting CCTV system problems· Biometrics· Troubleshooting biometric reader and client access problems· Installing and maintaining biometric readers· Generating time attendance reports on request· Management of vendor software for client access· Networking· Installation and crimping of new cabling· Cable management· Troubleshooting network cable problems· Management of network switches· Patching of different networks· Setup of Routers and ensure it conforms to company policy· Monitoring and maintenance of all company networks· Liaising with network providers on custom client solutions· Monitoring bandwidth utilisation and planning of upgrades· Infrastructure· Good understanding of cloud hosted services (VPS, Docker)· Good understanding of hypervisors (Hyper V, Proxmox)· Good understanding of DNS and web related services· Ability to troubleshoot and liaise with service providers on the above· Maintenance of server hardware and software· Good understanding of security around hosted services· Wireless· Installation of access points· Management of wireless software (Unifi)· Queries of WIFI vouchers· Maintenance of wireless networks· Troubleshooting wireless problems· Tech support· Virus, malware, Trojan removal· Operating system problems· Hardware faults· Microsoft Office and general advice· Email setting problems· Internet browser problems· Printer problems· Identifying and eliminating risks associated with the above before causing any major damage· Meeting Rooms· Assisting clients with connecting a laptop to projector or TV and other general IT needs· Being on standby for clients while a VC is taking place· Installing the necessary equipment based on the client’s needs i.e., Projectors, telephones, Polycom, power points, internet connections· Management of the meeting room booking software and mobile app (Reservation Station)· Maintenance· Updating hardware to latest firmware· Weekly and bi-weekly visual inspections of the various systems· Cleaning hardware of dust and any other dirt· Checking UPS is in working order· Server Room· Maintenance and updates relating to the server room. Ensure it continues to function at an optimal level with no disruptions to clients or internal staff· Have had some experience in managing a hosted or service room environment· Other· Mentor the IT Technicians on:– Processes to adhere to when new clients move in– General understanding of the different systems– Assist with troubleshooting problems– Structure their daily tasks– Guide them on email and client etiquette (email and written)– Cable management· Advise and teach CM on different IT systems· Assist Centre Manager with troubleshooting IT issues via phone or remote applications· Ensure constant communication with Centre manager daily· Assisting finance with Accounting software related queries (Sage Evolution)· Discuss and agree on any IT related CAPEX and OPEX with the Financial Accountant and MD to ensure IT CAPEX and OPEX cash flow is understood and agreed prior to purchasing· Follow the purchase order process to ensure prior approval to IT spend· Work closely with Finance and MD for budgeting and forecastingEducational Requirements:· Grade 12· Relevant tertiary qualificationExperience and Skills Required:· Experience in a similar position· Previous staff management experience· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Analytical and high attention to detail· Excellent time management skills· Ability to work under pressure· Self-motivated· Own reliable transport essential*Should you meet the ABOVE REQUIREMENTS send your CV to:CV @ GLOBEVESTGROUP.CO.ZA using the REFERENCE NUMBER above.POPIABy Submitting your CV, you confirm that:1.
