We are Inventia Life Science (www.inventia.life) and we are radically changing the way the world treats disease and injury. We're a multidisciplinary team, deeply inspired by the purpose of innovating for the better and backed by top-tier venture capital funds. Our revolutionary 3D cell biology technology enables pioneers in drug discovery and medicine to radically drive innovation from disease treatment in areas such as cancer, to how we treat injuries (and we already have products in the market!).

The current global team sits at 100 employees and is growing rapidly across our Sydney (HQ), US and European offices. We highly value our culture, the diversity of the team and our passion for taking our product to market and the impact it will have.

The Role

Inventia is at an exciting phase of growth and opportunity, with the RASTRUM platform now in-market and experiencing strong demand from customers globally. Scaling our manufacturing operations is critical to getting high-quality products into the hands of our customers so that we can accelerate their discovery programs. We manufacture a wide variety of different fluids for use with the RASTRUM platform. Overseeing their high quality and consistent production in consultation with our supply chain team plays a crucial part in the success of our business. As demand increases, there will be significant scope for process improvement and scaling in this space.

Managing our skilled team of technicians and continuing to facilitate their ongoing training and growth in operational and process improvement work is also a key aspect of this role.

What you’ll do
Oversee and coordinate the regular production of our fluid consumables with attention to detail and batch-to-batch consistency
Establish systematic processes for consumables manufacture, and identify improvements in the current manufacturing process and systems
Train and develop the consumables manufacturing team
Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Success to help implement systems and processes to support manufacturing and commercial operations (ERP, MES etc.) and the needs of the overall business
About You
Minimum 5 years experience or equivalent as a production lead in a regulated or complex commercial operation
The ability to demonstrate an improvement of a production process or system in a regulated industry would be highly regarded
Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related discipline.
High-level organisational and time management skills
Commitment to operating to the highest standards of WHS and Quality
The ability to contribute to a culture of positivity, diversity and inclusivity
What keeps the Team at Inventia?

Some of the many reasons include believing in Inventia’s mission, our culture (where the office is cleared out by 5pm), the love of working in such a positive and transparent environment with everyone being respectful and kind, as well as managers and founders always being open to all ideas. The work is always very diverse and varied with individual contributors empowered to own projects (or “workstreams'', as we call them).

Our Culture

The role is based in our Sydney HQ and we provide flexibility in terms of working from home and the Sydney office. Our office is right next to a childcare facility and home to our family of mostly thriving houseplants.

Equity and a strong market-based salary are on offer, within a supportive but empowered, fully agile environment, which we have worked hard to create.

Come and do work that really matters within a team who cares as much about one another as the mission!
