Senior Consultant, Business Development Manager
A Business Development Manager at Thoughtworks is responsible for developing a pipeline of new opportunities, securing those opportunities and helping establish the early relationship with the client.
We engage with senior business and technology stakeholders in our clients. So ideally you will have a track record of engaging at a c-suite level, using a consultative selling approach to maximise the customer outcomes.
Successfully convert new target accounts, creating the foundation for long-term, value-based relationships. Success is the sale of win-win value propositions and nurturing executive relationships for continuing business.
Ensure the creation and execution of pursuit strategies, and build value aligned propositions at the company and at an individual level with clients.
Approach client executives as true business partners versus software delivery partners - expanding Thoughtworks engagement to encompass the breadth and depth of our capabilities, including where appropriate, our world leading Global Delivery centres.
Recognise that our people and our clients are at the centre of everything we do.
Knowledge of selling custom software services and the teams required to execute on projects
The ability to develop a territory plan, and a pipeline of new clients and client engagements
Proactively create propositions that address organisation's relevant challenges in collaboration with other members of Thoughtworks
Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders at the business and technology level
Able to qualify and identify the right opportunities
Ability to multi-task and identify the right opportunities & prioritise accounts
Hunger and desire to exceed target goals
Ability to negotiate and persuade; wins the trust of senior executives to achieve desired outcomes
Demonstrable strong work ethic and has an internal motivation to succeed
