Job Purpose

To execute strategies that have been laid out and develop new business strategies to achieve company's objectives in obtaining more business from OCBC / Pac Lease branches and its clients.

The Job
Established initiatives to meet sales strategies
To develop new business strategies, i.e. Canvass for new business leads and secure them through OCBC / Pac Lease branches and its clients.
To conduct a risk underwriting survey.
To conduct sales and business activities to OCBC/Pac Lease branches and its Clients.
To monitor credit control on portfolios in care.
To gather market intelligence for management planning and decision making.
To ensure the overall policy, procedures and regulatory requirements under PIAM and BNM, including AML/CFT/PDPA are adhered to and complied.
To prepare Submission Request Slips & eRite / EWMS for policy endorsement batching, including checking for completeness of required information. · To accept and underwrite risk as per authorized underwriting limit.
To develop new marketing approach and tools.
To attend technical course annually to sharpen skills.
Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices

The Person
Bachelor Degree in any field
CMII qualification will added advantage
Broad based general insurance experience in sales and marketing.
Good communication & written skills, Knowledge of IT applications, Knowledge of PAS application.
Job knowledge & application, Business and organisational knowledge, IT knowledge, Acts & regulations, Risk management – Marketing, Underwriting, Selling skill, Relationship building, Commitment to service, Initiative, Innovation and creativity, Attitude, Responsibility, Planning and organisation of work, Teamwork, Reaction under pressure/crisis, Interpersonal skill.
