Description
Responsibilities:
Perform business development activities in assigned territories with existing distribution channels, product offering, new product opportunities and customized solutions, etc.
Work closely with distributors to plan for business development strategies and market development process to gain increase in market share and coverage to more applications, industry segment and untapped market.
Identify territories’ needs including mapping product strengths, value proposition and customer needs
Understand market demand, keeping abreast with industry trends locally and internationally
Work closely with Asia Pacific cross-functional team to manage key strategic accounts and pursue projects to increase ownership of customers’ assets
Provide training to distributors and customers, participate in customer seminars and trade shows related to all market segments
Coordinate with operations, engineering and other departments in providing customized solutions and new product development offering to territories.
Assist in marketing/segmental research, define market segment strategies to achieve and exceed targets and increase market share in the target segment. Gain knowledge in market trends, regulations and users’ preferences, understand competition offerings and contribute to visions for new product development
Assist in evaluating distributors performance and provide feedback, assistance and resolution to territories’ needs and explore untapped market or new distribution channels based on territory needs.
Gain full understanding of the market and competitive landscape and utilize this information to target new business opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Instrumentation or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of regional business development and applications experience in related industries is preferred
Good knowledge of fluid and gas handling and control is preferred
Prior experience in managing multiple distribution channels preferred.
Proactive in understanding and making use of market orientation information to anticipate and react to market situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team player mentality and ability to work cross-functionally
Highly motivated self-starter
Results oriented
