Exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced HR Manager to join well established and highly regarded boutique law firm located in the heart of the CBD. Boasting a genuinely collegiate, team-orientated office culture, this "hands on" role will see you responsible for the firm's full HR function.
It's all about you...
Reporting directly to the Managing Principals and working closely with the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing relevant, timely and commercially sound advice and support to the firm on human resources and people management issues.
Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Recruitment, induction, training and probation monitoring
Day to day management of staff-related matters
Annual performance & salary reviews (with Partner involvement)
Staff management and development
Monitoring of relevant Awards / Contracts / Legislation
Compliance regarding entitlements, OH&S and resolution of any grievances
Policy & procedures
Implementation and management of HRIS
Maintain staff, policy and procedural information on the firm's intranet
Skills and experience we'd love...
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience as a HR Manager/Advisor in a Law Firm together with;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A "hands on" style with the ability to motivate and influence others
A high level of discretion, integrity and commitment to firm's standards
Sound knowledge of HR practices, standards and statutory requirements
Strong MS Office and IT skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Relevant tertiary qualifications
As an experienced HR Manager, you'll know these roles don't come up to often and although the responsibilities here are not 'rare' the office/culture you will be inheriting genuinely is!
