About the Role

Reporting into our GM of Deposits and Everyday Banking our Head of Deposits will be responsible for leading our multi-branded Deposit portfolios to deliver exceptional customer experiences, meet commercial outcomes and as always, view everything through a Risk and Compliance lens!

We are a multi-branded business consisting of household brands such as Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money and the most recent addition being ME Bank, which makes this role even more juicy. There is plenty of opportunity to get involved in our transformational journey, from designing and growing innovative new products that are compliant by design, all on our new digital platforms.

This Senior Leadership position will see you taking a strategic lens - driving sustainable business growth for BOQ and ME’s Deposit products, ensuring we have market-leading propositions, simplifying and optimising our processes and portfolios and most importantly, building an engaged, high performing team. This role plays a critical leadership role in driving team engagement both directly, and cross-functionally, to drive the transformation of the Deposits portfolio.

About you

As an experienced Senior Leader, you will join us with extensive experience within Retail Banking, specifically within product and portfolio management. We operate in a highly regulated, dynamic environment so we are seeking a strategic thinker who can problem-solve and lead through continuous change. Collaboration and partnership come naturally to you, and you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, participating and promoting cooperative working relationships across the organisation.

As a empathetic and outcome-driven professional you enjoy proactively communicating with the business to understand and reach their vision. With your vast experience in large transformation programs, you have a strong ability to lead and champion key programs and projects from the ground up.

With experience leading commercial teams through strategy development to execution, and a proven record achieving customer and commercial objectives, you’ll also come armed with strong knowledge of Retail Banking best practices, along with extensive P and L management experience – you have the confidence and ability to oversee key financial metrics, forecasting, insights and reporting.
