HPE GreenLake Platform Cloud (GLCP) team allows you the opportunity to collaborate with both creative and engineering types to build HPE's next generation cloud platform. Combining agile methodologies and a continuous integration and delivery pipeline, the GreenLake Cloud Platform partners with all of HPE and powers HPE's transformation as a true cloud-native provider. On the GLCP team you will build innovative cloud platform capabilities that enables the delivery of rich HW and SW aaS solutions to customers.
Broad Definition of Technology Architect: Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet a customer's business needs. Creates and maintains effective customer relationships to secure customer satisfaction. Provides the deepest level of product- and technology-specific expertise available to customers from anyone in the sales organization in deal pursuit situations. Aligned to specific products or product lines. These jobs focus on selling to customers, typically through work that occurs outside HPE offices.
Key Solution Presales Responsibilities:

  • Participates in deep-dive discussions to effectively leverages an assigned product set and translate the technical view into the implementation view when proposing solutions. Identifies acceptable technical solution trade-offs, and risks, and suggests possible remediation. Candidate shall be well-versed with competitive - business outcome-based focus solution offerings from key competitors of Dell-EMC / CISCO / Netapp / Lenovo / IBM / Hitachi and Pure.
  • Maintains excellent communication with customers at the C-level and delivers workshops to deepen understanding of the proposed technical solution and its financial impact.
  • Orchestrates the design of complex proposals to deliver exceptional value to customers by actively promoting company strategic initiatives like Hybrid IT and Hybrid Clouds. Candidate shall be well-versed with Hybrid IT solutions from Public Cloud providers like AWS / Azure and GCP.
  • Engages the full portfolio of partners to extend reach, enhance knowledge, and leverage resources, relationships, and technical solutions, to accomplish goals. Partner together to identify gaps and address needs to accelerate channel business.
  • Sets direction and delivers guidance to improve processes and establish policies that enhance business strategies.
  • Monitors the changing competitive landscape and effectively counters competitor value propositions. Increases the company's share of wallet through competitive takeout, demonstrating technical superiority, and leveraging other company services for better TCO/ROI.
  • Works to build a reputation and personal 'brand' inside the company and externally by assisting peers through blogs, and white papers, participating in conferences, and by effectively utilizing social media.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or from a technical university.
  • Master's or advanced degree in technology preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrates mastery of technical skills in the field of computing, Cloud, and data Industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the key industry solutions aspects from an Industry Point of view for Industry core business application landscapes, Backup and Recovery, Data Storage, and Business Continuity planning.
  • Mastery of executive written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in English and local languages.
  • Demonstrates outstanding consultative selling techniques, including active listening, framing, whiteboarding, storytelling, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Designing and selling solutions on computing, Sizing, and designing infrastructure solutions for customer business and mission-critical applications, Block and file storage for mission-critical and business-critical customers. Candidate should have sold independently such solutions to customers while covering the critical aspects of Availability, Performance, and Scalability.
  • Knowledge of customers' business, technical tools, and infrastructure assessment tools used by them or deployed by the candidate.
  • Adept at using social media, blogging, and related information-sharing technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Backup and recovery solutions using different OEMs like Commvault / Veeam / Micro-focus etc. while covering the various data protection attributes of business continuity, SLAs for protection and restoration, Hands-on experience, Cloud data protection, etc.
  • Has successfully completed knowledge-based as well as one or more experienced-based industry certifications, primarily on VMware Suite of Products, Certifications at least from one of the OEM like HPE / CISCO / Netapp / Lenovo / Dell-EMC / Hitachi / Pure / IBM, etc.
  • Excellent AI skills or experience with excellent analytical tools. Hands-on experience with Container solutions would be preferred.
  • Deep business and financial acumen and the ability to engage customers in strategic financial conversations.
  • Experience participating in solution configurations and the creation of PoCs to meet customer requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of Hybrid-IT and Cloud solutions from various providers like AWS / Azure and GCP. Certification would be preferred.
  • Fair knowledge on linking application landscape with infrastructure including Compute, Storage, Network, Software Defined storage, HCI, Object storage solutions is preferred.
