The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).2 X Lecturers: Programming (Independent Contractor) vacancies exists at the Waterfall campus in the School of Information Technology for the following qualification for the academic year:IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application DevelopmentCompetencies required:Communication SkillsOnline Technology & Communication SkillsOrganisational SkillsEffective Classroom ManagementOpen to DevelopmentMinimum Qualification Requirements:Honours degree in Information Systems/ Computer ScienceAlternatively:Honours degree in similarly related fields with programming or a similarly related field to the third-year level.Minimum Work Experience Required for each programming lecturer:1 X Java Programming Lecturer:Lecturing experience in programming using JavaKnowledge of the following:Object Oriented Programming conceptsAlgorithms and Flow ChartsInheritance, abstract class and Java interfaceException HandlingFile input and outputDecision making structuresLoop control structuresArrays (1D and 2D) and ArrayListSwing Components and GUI interfaces using NetBeansGit and GitHubWork experience as a software developer/ application developer/ programmerThe candidate must have worked within the tertiary institution so that they understand what students will experience of tertiary institutions and what is expected from them.The candidate must have a solid understanding of academic skills and how to assist the students to incorporate these skills into their studies1 X C# Programming LecturerLecturing experience in programming using C#.Knowledge of the following:Generic and non-generic collectionsDelegates and EventsLINQSQL Server DatabasesWindows Presentation FoundationEnterprise Software SystemsEnterprise Software Systems DevelopmentMicrosoft Enterprise Application Development PlatformDirectory ServicesServices, Orchestration and ChoreographyFunctional and non-functional requirementsDesign and Architecture PatternsOptimising Application PerformanceDatabases and Entity FrameworkDevOpsEnterprise ArchitectureGit and GitHubWorking Conditions:Availability to lecture Part-time during the week, between 8am – 5pm on campusDeliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline.Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary.Grade all assessments for assigned classes.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
