What does the role involve?

The Partnership Manager is part of the Community, Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement team and supports the Australia Post business by protecting and enhancing Australia Post’s reputation and its social licence to operate as well as the wider community through delivery of an established community strategy.

The Partnership Manager will support the Senior Community Relations Manager to deliver meaningful and measurable programs of work across Australia Post’s key areas of focus – disaster preparedness, response and recovery, mental health and First Nations Children’s literacy.

Key to success in this role will be working collaboratively across the enterprise and fostering productive and respectful relationships with key Community partners. You will build effective relationships at all levels of the business and develop a deep understanding of business and community needs as well as stakeholder audiences. 

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Develop multiyear strategy and annual leverage plans for key community partnerships aligned to business and brand objectives and enterprise values
  • With support from the Senior Partnership Manager, manage and seek to continuously improve strategic Community Partnerships for the enterprise
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with individual partners including the negotiation of contracts, ongoing management and optimisation of associated assets and benefits, planning and review
  • Work in partnership with Consumer CMO to develop and deliver marketing and communications programs to support the community strategy and enhance the brand and reputation of Australia Post
  • Develop and deliver workforce and community engagement programs as part of the community partnerships program of work in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
  • Work with partners to measure and report on social impact for communities and our people
  • Develop and deliver world class enterprise sponsorship leverage initiatives for staff, community and customers to enhance Australia Post’s brand, reputation and market profile and deliver on our enterprise strategy
  • In collaboration with the business, identify and execute initiatives that support Australia Post’s CSR plan
  • What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of experience in sponsorship and partnership management
  • Proven track record of delivering, managing and leveraging partnerships across large and complex organisations
  • Team management skills
  • Strategic planning and development
  • Financial P&L management of budgets
  • Sponsorship strategy development
  • Communication engagement strategy experience
  • Experience in navigating, collaborating and influencing stakeholders within a large matrix organisation
  • Highly developed communication and writing skills
  • Highly developed commercial and relationship management skills
