About the Role
In this newly created role, you will provide the delivery of timely, cost effective, high quality national technical support services to support ABC program and network needs and to ensure broadcast continuity. You will be charged in developing and maintaining strategic working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure service obligations are met. You will also maintain a high level of awareness and advise clients in relation to new and emerging broadcast technologies.
The role will also include: Providing specialist technical support for networked broadcast systems, including level 2/3 fault resolution, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, upgrades, & replacement. Providing remote support through the Team Lead, Help Desk or State Technology Support, as required. Installing, or arrange and supervise installation of approved network connections, system hardware and software including Non-Linear Editing, EVS, AWS, Production Asset Management (PAM), and transcode systems. Managing support escalation in accordance with defined national procedures. Identifying training needs and provide front-line training on broadcast systems software and hardware devices. Providing on-the-job training, guidance and development for less experienced staff. Identify learning and development needs, and foster effective teamwork and communications to build a positive work culture within the team.
We are seeking an experienced Technologist with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills, knowledge and experience in IT, Broadcast Technology, or related field. You will have advanced communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strategic relationships and coordinate working groups to facilitate positive outcomes for clients. You have a highly focused and capable approach to the provision of customer service with a proven track record of ensuring client and business continuity.
You will also have: Demonstrated highly advanced understanding of broadcast television live and post-production systems with extensive industry experience. Highly advanced systems fault analysis skills and processes with demonstrated experience in ITSM tools and practices, with a proactive approach to identifying very complex issues and implementing solutions. Demonstrated highly advanced leadership skills with demonstrated experience in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and developing colleagues. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complimentary IT and IP disciplines to collaboratively support networked broadcast systems within highly integrated environments.
