Finance at T-Mobile offers a fast-paced and team-focused environment that will grow your Finance & leadership skills as you help craft the success of the Un-carrier. You will work across the different functions at T-Mobile & make a difference in how we do business. The intern will have the opportunity to develop financial planning and analysis tools to support an emerging T-Mobile Internet business unit. Are you ready to join the Un-Carrier?


You'll contribute your creativity and phenomenal ideas, working alongside innovative peers and mentors who will push you to be your very best. We'll give you hands-on projects and the chance to create an immediate impact. Here are some of the job duties and responsibilities you could have as an FP&A Intern: 

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes 

  • Build detailed financial models and improve existing models  

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify underlying causes, opportunities, and risks 
  • Build visual reporting demonstrating analytic tools like Power BI to provide practical insights 
  • Construct executive-level presentations and present sophisticated findings in clear, concise manner 
  • Communicate financial results and forecast changes directly with internal business partners  
  • Source, cleanse, and synthesize large amounts of data  
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses as requested by senior management 
  • Work cross-functionally across FP&A, Accounting and other Finance teams to drive process improvements 
  • Capture and document business requirements for analytical and reporting process improvements 

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (graduating in 2023 or 2024) and has completed an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Economics 

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills, specifically Excel  

  • Outstanding data analysis, organizational, and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent interpersonal, work ethic, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity 
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning who is not afraid to ask questions 
  • Finance and Accounting Fundamentals 
  • Must live or have place to stay in Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS
  • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education
  • Intern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
