Business Unit Manager (Mozambique/Supply Chain Management/Food Industry)

Requirements
Tertiary education
Fluent in Portuguese and English
+5 years experience in supply chain management
Food industry background preferred
Experience in export, shipping, vessel management/operation is advantageous
Ability to establish and manage processes
Excellent communication skills
Solution provider and resourceful
Efficient and effective individual
Responsibilities
1. Operations’ Management
Ensure optimal client satisfaction:
Ensure positive clients ‘relationship, entertaining all clients’ request, issues arising from operations.
Supply chain coordination, local and international procurement with Group entities and third parties
Ensure complete and on time order deliveries
Establish and implements logistics planification
Ensure the compliance to all statutory obligations
2. Management
a. Responsible of the overall BU profitability across the various activities including:
Budget control
P&L monitoring
b. HR
Assist with necessary recruitment to ensure optimal and profitable service delivery
Participate in regular personal evaluations, KPI appraisals
With CM, Manage absenteeism, poor performance and any HR related issues
Stay within the Mozambican legislation
3. Warehouse and Stock management
Implementation of group processes, strict daily, weekly, monthly inventory management
Ensuring teams adherence to processes and stock levels always matching ERP data
Define and implement optimal warehouse management and organisation
Ensure cold chain is preserved and adherence to food health regulations international best practices
4. Commercial Development
Promotion of all the products’ ranges
Commercial follow up to develop sales
Planification with the Team of commercial actions and reporting on results
5. Infrastructure Management and Control
Management and maintenance of the assets: warehouse, cold rooms, racking, plant equipment, vehicles
Select and manage the service providers needed to ensure suitable preventive maintenance to avoid down time on any equipment
Special care to refrigeration units to avoid break down and down time
