Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.
About the role
We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Manager to provide intensive assistance and support to young people living within Oasis Youth Support Network’s Crisis Accommodation Services – Oasis House.
You will successfully
Build rapport & engage with young people in order to respond to their immediate and longer-term needsProvide an effective case management service for clients residing in, including conducting individual assessments Assist in the creation of a positive environment within the services which promotes the physical, emotional, spiritual & social development of young peopleEnsure the young people are not subjected to any form of abuse or discrimination, in particular, bullying or the threat of bullyingLiaise with government & NGO’s in the assessment & implementation of young people’s case plans as requiredImplement, coordinate & support living skill programs and related training for young people living within the OTAS program Create & maintain all required record-keeping, including client files and other administrative recordsThis is a permanent full-time position, based in Surry Hills, NSW.
You will have
Tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma) in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work or related discipline.Demonstrated work experience (min. 3 years) in youth services, case management, homelessness, health, addiction, or other related welfare fields.Knowledge & understanding of youth homelessness & relevant health, addiction & welfare issues & appropriate intervention strategiesDemonstrated experience and working knowledge of the community services sector in NSW, with a specific emphasis on homelessness and family/domestic violenceCurrent Senior First AidCurrent NSW Driver’s LicenseValid NSW Working with Children CheckA willingness to undergo a National Police CheckThe Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.
