Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is currently recruiting dynamic and motivated full time Assistant Banquet Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Banquet Manager with day to day banquet operations
  • Lead, mentor and train the Food and Beverage team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment
  • Ensure that team members are briefed on daily banquet operations including break timings, room sets and refreshes etc
  • Actively participate in improving the service standards and offerings to ensure repeat client business
  • Assist in the induction process of new team members
  • Provide input on occupational health and safety requirements / reporting. This also includes HACCP procedures and documentation
  • Ensure that strategies are in place to allow efficient and effective staffing of the department to achieve service quality and financial targets
  • Be an advocate of the procedures in place
  • Have a “can do” attitude and consistently thrive to exceed client expectations
  • About you

    We are looking for an energetic person who is looking for their next challenge, someone who is hard working, career orientated and who has a passion for the Food and Beverage Service. The ideal person will have:
  • At least one year experience in a team leader or supervisory role,
  • Experience in a 4 to 5 star hotel or similar environment,
  • A current RSA and fully working rights are essential
  • Experience in Banquet operations and revenue posting systems will be highly advantageous.
