The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Executive Manager, Bi-national Offices & Partnerships.
The role will be responsible to lead teams within the department in the strategic development and delivery of services, operations, administration and support.
This role has a specific focus to:
Provide consistent, proactive and accessible leadership to Faculties, Sections, Networks and representative groups including those with lived experience of mental illness, their carers and families/whānau, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and Māori. Enhance effectiveness of Bi-national Offices through operational improvements to membership engagement, alignment of strategies and growth, delivery of services and operations, and internal projects, to meet the needs and expectations of members. Build rapport and relationships with membership groups and managing all activities and communication between the College and its representative groups - effectively and professionally. Ensure effective integrated management of the department, including creating open channels for communication, synthesising information, pro-actively identifying risks and opportunities, managing emerging issues and driving action and problem solving. Work with members to provide strategic direction and develop initiatives with respect to the support services provided to Faculties, Sections, Networks, Australian Branches and Tu Te Akaaka Roa – the New Zealand National Office and other representative groups within the College. Oversee the service delivery and operations of Australian Branches and Tu Te Akaaka Roa – the New Zealand National Office, supporting the College’s strategic priorities and facilitating member engagement. Drive the College’s partnerships with people with a lived experience of mental illness, their carers and families/whānau, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and Māori. The successful candidate will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in related field and demonstrated minimum 7 years management experience at a senior level. Proven ability and experience in successfully leading, managing, developing and engaging staff in the achievement of organisational goals. Experience in business development, analysis, and operational planning and review, including the ability to identify, recommend and implement business improvements. Executive level management skills, including the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, manage multiple projects concurrently and establish priorities. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, research issues, formulate recommendations, implement decisions and review outcomes. Highly developed relationship management skills and the ability to nurture positive working relations across the College. What can we offer?
