Bayswater Bar and Grill (Hotel) is located on the Esplanade at Urangan, over looking the beautiful Hervey Bay ocean.

 

We believe that the Bayswater Bar and Grill has the 'BEST' views in Hervey Bay.

 

The Hotel facilities include: 25 Gaming Machines, Bar, TAB and Keno, Pool Tables, Restaurant, Deck, New Pizza and Gelato Bar, and Function facilities.

 

We are looking for dynamic, committed and enthusiastic person to take control of the catering department and lead it to meet the expected growing needs of our patrons.

The Role....

 

Ensuring quality product and service is presented in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Reporting to the Catering Manager/Exec Chef and the Venue Manager

 

Key selection Criteria:

  • Professional qualifications
  • Proven experience in management of a professional kitchen operation
  • Proven experience with managing budgets, menu development and menu costing
  • Minimum 2 years successful staff supervision experience and staff rosters
  • Experience in maintaining KPI’s, wage percentages
  • Experience in training of apprentices
  • Experience with stock management and audits
  • Significant Restaurant & Function management/cooking
  • Excellent personal hygiene
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Food Safety Supervisor and HACCP
  • Self motivated with the ability to lead and motivate the Team
  • Professional pride and organisational skills
  • Administration and technology skills including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Workplace health & safety ( ability to design sign off sheets for all areas of kitchen ) eg opening and closing procedures

Responsibilities include:-

  • Correct storing daily supplies
  • Food preparation
  • Stock rotation
  • Minimising wastage
  • Maintaining clean and tidy work area
  • Follow safe work procedures

 

Hours of Work

Weekly roster - Full time position - Shifts range from early morning starts to late finishing times.

 

Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays and split shifts
