POSITION TITLE: Merchandise Sample Assistant - American Eagle

REPORTS TO: Merchant / Merchandise Manager - American Eagle

POSITION SUMMARY:

* Responsible for the overall management of the Global assortment samples for all departments within the AE division.
* Assist in hitting sample deadlines in order to adhere to the photo studio schedule and shoot sample deadlines.
* Support Manager in working closely with Functional Leads across Omni Merchandising, Business Strategies and Marketing to enable successful execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for the management of the sample process from ordering, receiving, distributing and tracking across all departments within AE Tops managing multiple seasons simultaneously.
* Coordinate samples for photo studio, marketing photo shoots, and maintain an organized set of all samples in office.
* Track sample completion for all departments within and assist manager in communicating impact when sample deadlines are not met.
* Develop basic understanding of nuances across the AE Brand to assist manager w/ properly coordinated sample deadlines in order to support evolving Business needs.
* Consistently communicates updates and/or business related issues to Manager and VP in a timely manner.
* Recap each team on the status of the sample check in process. Responsible for giving clear information on what has been sent to the studio and when as well as giving clear recaps on what samples are still missing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create sample deadlines that correlate with Merchant and Corporate calendars.
* Required to be in office 5 days per week.

PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:

* Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
