Job Description

About this job:

This role is based in?Stamford office?and as an?Underwriting Analyst?you will support the remote and local audits and work closely with different departments. This will be hybrid role.

About the role:

* Assist with remote and local audits.
* Create and manage repository of policy bordereaux data, particularly for excess & Bermuda excess casualty treaties where there is high aggregation potential, to streamline aggregation tracking process.
* Serve as back up on remote pre-renewal and overview discussions.
* Monitor and track large premium accounts to ensure account balances are current and in line with expectations and claims reporting is following contract guidelines.
* Facilitate research efforts and devise proposal to resolve specific issues that may arise with a given treaty . This would include reminding Underwriters to check quarterly accounts for the larger premium accounts.
* Ad hoc reports and projects
* Aggregation tracking work with internal liaison? to further improve the process.
* Monitoring of industry trends, including emerging/evolving claims trends and tracking PartnerRe's exposure to those trends.
* Compiling and standardizing data from multiple sources.
* Internal project management that involves coordinating across departments (underwriting, claims, actuarial and accounting).
* Become proficient in Power BI


About you:

* At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in the reinsurance industry
* Experience in underwriting and/or more in-depth knowledge of specific markets a plus
* Knowledge of the reinsurance marketplace, ceding company and broker operations, and reinsurance underwriting functions.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI a plus.
* BA/BS or equivalent education or experience in a business discipline. ?MBA and/or insurance industry designations (e.g., ARE, ARM, CPCU, etc.) a plus
* Internal client relationship and service delivery focus
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Ability to work effectively with various departments, management, and levels throughout the organization. Excellent collaboration skills
* Good oral and written communication skills required; attention to detail a must

Additional Information

The role will be based in Stamford and hybrid office-based position with Monday and Friday as remote working days.
