The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the overall revenue and gross margin growth of an assigned region. As RSM you will manage your team's daily sales efforts by motivating and coaching the outside sales staff on strategic decisions to drive company and regional growth, recognize and react to market conditions through development, recruiting, mentoring, goal setting and coaching. The RSM will work together with the BM and Regional Director to understand market trends, competition, and develop new market growth strategies. Through the development of the Godwin Dri-Prime and Flygt brand pumping systems the RSM will be an integral part of a global organization with a brand recognition that represents the highest quality standards and overall customer obsession.

**Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**

+ Maximize financial performance of the region by expanding the rentals and sales of Xylem products and services.

+ Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing

+ Coach and mentor the regional sales team and own the OSR on-boarding process for all sales reps within the region. Provide input on each OSR's performance based on clearly communicated expectations.

+ Work in conjunction with Marketing to drive bid reporting services and lead management.

+ Identify, develop and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of Xylem's Dewatering's products.

+ Build company image by collaborating with marketing to drive new opportunities and brand recognition within the region.

+ Partner with the Branch Manager with establishing sales territories, goals, and forecast for OSR within the Region.

+ Assist Branch Managers and partner with Marketing to manage sales blitzes, trade shows and other trade organizations to drive sales within the Region.

+ Work with National Accounts Manager to both drive deeper penetration into existing national accounts and develop additional opportunities within region.

+ Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a company vehicle.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE** **-Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ A minimum five years of successful sales management or management experience.

+ Experience leading through influence.

+ Previous experience and working knowledge of a P&L statement is required.

+ Five years' experience in related field of pumps, pumping systems, equipment rental or construction preferred.

+ Previous experience in the use of or other CRM's is preferred
