Job Summary

The Contract and Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to initial and re-credentialing payer facility applications to ensure that the organization is in compliance with contracted payer policies and guidelines. The Contract and Credentialing Coordinator will interface with internal and external entities to ensure credentialing documents are ready to be reviewed and submitted in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for all requests from payers and ensure new and existing contracts are initiated and maintained internally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Create and send payer letters for new Imaging Centers or Imaging Center updates
* Prepare letter of agreements as requested for one time patient or patients for payers not contracted with RadNet
* Communicate new payer contracts or contract updates and credentialing statuses with RadNet team members
* Prepare payer specified applications for new credentialing or recredentialing
* Maintain contract database and contract files
* Maintain and update site location list
* Maintain knowledge of payer specific requests for credentialing purposes and provide requested data, as needed
* Maintain and provide updated insurance lists to Territory and Sales Marketing Representatives
* Notify relevant departments of approved site credentialing or re-credentialing and contracts, new site locations, site updates when received from payers.
* Create updated Site W-9's for payers yearly, and as requested
* Prepare facility credentialing and recredentialing applications to payers on daily/regular basis and submit to payers in a timely manner
* Maintain credentialing files for California sites and payers (FNP, Business License, ACR Accreditation, MediCare, Medi-Cal, and other insurance certifications)
* Submit documents to payers as requested on daily/regular basis
* Performs additional duties as assigned
