QTC is seeking qualified Medical Billing Specialist for our Reservice Health and Readiness Program (RHRP-3). You will collaborate with several internal departments in support of military (Reserve and National Guard) service members, delivering exceptional customer service at all touch points.

The part would you play in this role?

As a Medical Billing Specialist you will work closely with medical providers and the RHRP-3 internal billing and accounting departments. You will Review and ensure accurate claim submission daily. Be Responsible for Billing corrections to the claims if necessary. In this role, you will review documentation sent over from medical providers and ensure the report is complete, accurate and the veteran has received consultation for all of the medical issues listed.

In this rewarding role, you will also:

* Review and update medical (billing) reports and diagnostic testing results accurately and promptly
* Ensure proper Current Procedural Terminology ("CPT") Coding for Procedures performed indicated by medical and diagnostic reports.
* Ensure all auditing billing reports to be accurate billing through period close Work with Audit department to ensure billing accuracy
* Coordinate with medical providers as needed for clarification of reports

You must have:

* High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) or 2 years of experience in lieu
* Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
* Ability to read medical reports
* Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Preferred to have:

* Knowledge of medical billing practices
* Knowledge of ICD-9 (International Classification of Disease, Ninth Edition), CPT and HCPC (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) coding, medical terminology and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines including NCCI (National Correct Coding Initiative)edits
* Ability to work in a high volume billing environment
* Knowledge of business and accounting processes
* Must be well organized and detail oriented
* Understands HIPPA privacy practices

Typical Day:

* Mon - Fri: 8:30am - 5pm EST with some flexibility

Starting pay: $16 - $19 per hour
