NSW Trustee & Guardian protects, promotes and supports the rights, dignity, choices and wishes of the people of NSW. The agency supports the Chief Executive Officer and the Public Guardian to provide customer-centred services to the people of NSW, including some of the state’s most vulnerable. We do this by providing a range of multidisciplinary services including Will-making, estate planning, executorship, trustee, financial management and guardianship services.
We write more than 13,000 estate planning documents each year, support over 47,000 customers annually and manage over seven billion dollars in customer assets. A NSW government agency within the Stronger Communities Cluster, our services help support and protect people at critical moments in their lives.

The Financial Performance and Investments division provides a full range of financial services including financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, customer accounts and investment management services.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity that will see you work closely with the operational areas and subject matter experts of NSW Trustee and Guardian.
To be successful in the role you will need to have:
In-depth understanding of the needs of our customers and the services we provide to them.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to eliciting and sourcing relevant internal and external data which will be essential in the delivery of quality analysis to help drive the future direction of NSW Trustee and Guardian.
Advanced modelling skills and proven ability in validating and presenting analytical outcomes and being able to influence the audience with evidenced based arguments.
Ability to apply a commercial lens to business cases and strategic growth proposals and use financial knowledge and experience to frame outcomes from the analytics in the context of the ongoing financial sustainability of NSW Trustee & Guardian.
We are looking for someone who has a questioning and challenging mindset and not just accept the status quo, commercially aware and customer focused.
Able to operate independently and with minimal supervision, and capable of juggling multiple projects and meet challenging timelines.
Can communicate with and develop connections at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
Experienced in interrogating multiple diverse systems for relevant data
Has well developed and advanced financial and commercial modelling skills.

Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry such as finance, commerce, and/or accounting.
Strong business intelligence and data analytics skills including experience working with data driven tools and systems
CA, CPA or CIMA qualification and membership
