Manpower Finance is proud to partner with a global market leader in the transport industry for a newly created role within their Finance team. This organisation is a well-known European enterprise, listed on one of Europe largest stock exchanges.
They are currently seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their high performing team based in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, this is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced and thrilling organisation.
As a Management Accountantyou will be reporting to the General Manager of Performance & Reporting and will be at the heart of the Finance Operations.
The Management Accountant will be an important piece of the finance team and will bring financial and management accounting expertise, to assist in maintaining the financial policies and procedures, ensuring these are in accordance with current Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory framework.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
Prepare monthly P&L, detailed analysis of recharges, payroll and expenses by cost center.
Support of Finance shared services: Assist with bank, intercompany, Vector, FBT, tax queries.
Assist with allocation of expenses, capex projects, recharges to subsidiaries and complete & maintain specific IT systems analysis.
Issue recharges to subsidiaries
Support with the preparation of Group Head Office forecast and budget (Department P&L, Capex, Working Cap), including detailed payroll modelling in Anaplan.
Support with preparation of Long-Term Plan (LTP).
Preparation of Consolidated Statutory Accounts including support (time to time) to the preparation of subsidiaries statutory accounts,
Support & complete in timely manner the interim and year-end audit activities.
As a Management Accountant, you will demonstrate previous success in a management or financial accounting position ideally within a medium to large structure.
Excellent understanding of best financial practices and accounting processes.
Solid knowledge of accounting software, such as PowerBI and Anaplan.
Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to manage Statutory Account processes in a complex environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership team members.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management, or similar.
Prior experience as a Management Accountant preferred
Excellent knowledge of Excel.
Statutory Accounting, advanced knowledge and previous experience a must.
Experience with Anaplan is advantageous.
Experience with PowerBi is advantageous.
