About the job

We are looking for a passionate Service Sales Engineer who will be responsible to develop business with existing and new customers to grow service business covering entire service portfolio. The sales engineer will execute the agreed sales strategies in-order to deliver the annual sales budgets with target margins. This role needs to create sustainable growth to service business in Australia, through creation and maintenance of long-term customer relationship by delivering value on time, each time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services.
  • Develop technical and value-based quotations reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points, with attention to details.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers buying behaviour, propose sales plans according to the business division strategy and individual targets.
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers, and convert them in real business opportunities in order to ensure the pipeline.
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Collaborate within team and utilize available resources to call required technical expertise to support customers.
  • Use CRM and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
  • Work proactive and structured with the sales in order to optimize the sales efficiency.
  • Actively follow up on quotations, to understand if the proposed value is understood and if it is matching customer needs.
  • What you know?

  • Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • You have a solid commercial awareness related to bidding and shipment processes
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of prior work experience as technical sales/ inside sales in a similar industry (Process, Food & Beverage Manufacturing) will be highly regarded.
