The Project

CPB Contractors is working with Newcrest on the Cadia Integrated Tailings Project at the Cadia Valley Operations, located south of Orange NSW. This exciting new project involves civil bulk earthworks construction to increase tailings storage facilities. This is your opportunity to join our high performing team, based onsite, working an 8 days on/6 days off roster.

Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Training Coordinator. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating training and inductions on behalf of the project staff, workforce and subcontractors.

As a Training Coordinator, you will be accountable for:

  • Coordinating training courses and funding support.
  • Supporting sign-ups of Apprenticeships and Traineeships
  • Liaising with Project Management and Training Organisations on the scheduling of training courses.
  • Maintain accurate records of Training for the project.
  • Input training policy for monthly client reports.
  • Create purchase requisitions and approve training invoices
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety and health framework, policies and management system requirements and expectations.
  • Assist the HR Team with the implementation of HR/Training initiatives as required.
  • Maintain good relationships with RTO’s
  • About You

  • 1- or 2-years’ of Training Coordination/HR or Vocational Education &Training
  • Experience within the rail, transport, construction, mining & resources, or engineering industries (project experience preferable)
  • Knowledge of the Vocation Education and Training system including Apprenticeships and Traineeships and or Training Funding
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive, high-performing team
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • This position requires a self-starter, team player and someone who thrives on a fast paced and varied role. Your technical ability will be supported by your excellent work ethic, commitment to safety and proven ability to build strong relationships with internal clients.

    In addition, you will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, the ability to problem-solve, negotiate solutions, and work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment.
