You will provide technical support site wide, covering underground and surface operations. Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting external engineering activities in respect of repairs and overhauls where internal resources are not available.
Assisting the Electrical Engineering Manager and undertaking long and short-term electrical engineering planning.
Ensure maintenance work is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure
Assisting with site project work.
What you will need
Degree certificate in electrical engineering as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework
Desire to continue to study, to obtain Practicing Certificate – Electrical Engineering Manager used by NSW Resource Regulator
Prior experience in the underground coal mining industry (desirable)
Ability and desire to work well within a multi skilled team environment
EEHA (Explosion Protection)
SKM Power Tools (PTW)
Programmable Logic Controllers and networks
Microsoft Project Management
